When we shot the film that I would use to create the paintings surrounding the Relief Society, I was particularly interested in the ones about quilting. I was struck by the hands that worked on top of the quilt. Many were wrinkled from time and moved more slowly than they once had and some had never picked up a needle, but almost immediately all time and barriers were forgotten. I listened as the ladies seemed to float to another time, another quilt, another memory. They laughted and spoke of dear friends that too shared those memories. Canvas painting (including frame) is 23 1/2 x 23 1/2.
