LDS Art by J. Kirk Richards

J Kirk Richards was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He studied at BYU and under several artists, including Joe Ostraff, Wulf Barsch, James Christensen, Gary Barton, Hagen Haltern, Bruce Smith, Patrick Devonas and others. Kirk served an LDS mission in Rome, Italy which later influenced his paintings. Most of Kirk's artwork focuses on the life of the Savior and the Martin Handcart company.

Kirk is also well know for his accomplishments of Judeo-Christian themes. Not all of his paintings are religious but several stem from spiritual narratives and themes. Read more...
